OUTLINE
Amidst the decline in traffic and occupational accidents, there is an increasing number of accidents that occur in living spaces such as residences. In order to facilitate the reduction of risks in living spaces through scientific methodologies, it is first necessary to accurately ascertain the state of these risks. However, there is currently a dearth of such information.
This project will extract and establish a base of information from government statistics and various types of big data needed by stakeholders (including the authorities, manufacturers, and consumers), as well as develop and propose specific methodologies to be applied in risk management. The first half of the project will involve constructing a data model for risk information and its utilization, as well as validating the utility of the approach and actualizing incentives for the concerned parties. The latter half of the project will advance the social implementation of the research findings and the formation of an open data community.
